Amy Weiss is an artist and an Elementary School Art Teacher. She has always been particularly interested in the curiosity, creativity, and imagination that still exists in the young mind. This excitement seems to be lost or forgotten as we grow older. Amy’s work illustrates her attempt to reconnect with that youthful curiosity that has long been lost for many adults.
Within her work, she dabbles between mixed media and print making techniques to achieve the perfect look within each piece. Amy's work is primarily narrative. She has her own idea of where the narrative might go within each piece, but the most important thing is that each viewer build his or her own narrative independent of the artist’s reflection. The greatest satisfaction Amy receives from creating art is hearing or observing the personal connections people have with her pieces.
